Color in the March Garden

Living here in the northern part of the United States I am longing for spring and some color in my garden other than white or tan.  I spent a little time wandering the gardens yesterday to see if I could find color of some sort.  There are only patches of snow here and there but I was hard pressed to find a lot of color. Here's a sampling of what I found.

Evergreen shrubs are good for year round color.  This one has highlights of bright yellow.

This 'Blue Star' Juniper has a nice silver blue color tinged at this time of the year with pink.

This euonymus has pink highlights.

Sedum 'Blue Spruce'

Yucca 'Color Guard' looks great year round.

You can depend on sempervivums to look great after a long winter.

Take heart, before we know it we will be enjoying...
